The starting point is simple and overlooked: research your area’s seasonal rainfall trends and compare them to current forecasts, so you’re planning with data instead of vibes and news hype. 

From there, we get specific about what actually breaks pools during storms. We talk about backyard layouts that funnel dirt into the water, how elevated planters overflow onto the deck, and why even “a little” mud can lead to weeks of filtration issues and fast surface staining from metal-laden soil.
